Here we go again!

Last week I attended my third musical-academy in Lund and this time we did a stage version of the animated movie ANASTASIA! And it was awesome!!! I had such a great time and it was sooo much fun :D I had to play 5 different parts, first a russian thief/pick-pocket that I named Ruslana, then Rasputin including the first half of the song "In the dark of the night" (this was the funniest part this week), a zombie/demon/Rasputin-minion, a Parisian painter (where I actually live-sketched a portrait of the girl who played Anastasia in that scene) and last but not least, the dowager empress Marie. 

(sadly I don't own any picture of me on stage yet or a picture of me as Marie because of my 60 sec change from the painter to her)

Eurovision Song Contest 2013!

Last week I was in Malmö to watch Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö Arena. I was at the first semi final on thursday and then the gran final on saturday (!) It was absolutely amazing, what an event it is and I could really feel the slogan "We are one", especially on the grand final. See you next year in Denmark then, only 20 min away from this years place :)

Dinosaurs!

For about a week I get to work with a dinousar exhibition in Halmstad Arena. The exhibition shows dinosaur fossils, some of them is about 300 million years old! (the whole exhibition contain 80% real fossils). We got to fix and decorate the podiums where the fossils stands and also hang up fabric in the arena hall. This was really a fun and rememberable week, who had thought I would get to work so near a 300 million year old Tyrannosaurus Bataar? :)

Some of my resent work on stage

Because of that some of my last work was for the stage and haven't had their opening nights yet, I couldn't post any pictures of it but NOW it's time for them! :)

No rest for the wicked

This friday I wasn't at my usual place with my internship in Halmstad, instead I was in Lund, helping two friends of mine with some set buildning and prop making for the senior year students musical, "High School musical" at Lars-Erik Larssons high school. I mostly helped two students to make two big theatre masks, it was really fun doing it, a bit different from my tasks at Ljus&Dekor. 

Then on saturday I helped another friend of mine from Engelholmsrevyn with a quite huge paint job for Dansfabrikens anniversary dance show. This I had to continue with and finish today. 

Since neither the musical or the dance show have premiered I will not post any pictures of the things yet.  

Internship so far

It has now been a while since I wrote something here but it's because my internship has begun :) I'm currently at Ljus&Dekor in Halmstad and work with the sets for Vallarna-teatern. It's an outside theatre in Falkenberg that set up a new theater-show every summer and it's always Ljus&Dekor that does the sets for it. This year the show is called "Livat i Parken". The company  will also build the sets for Nöjesteaterns (in Malmö) new musical, the classic "West Side Story" which will premiere in september. Along with Vallarna and Nöjesteatern they also do the set for the swedish comedian Tomas Petterssons new-old show "En riktig högoddsare" in Kalmar. Currently, I'm painting the sets for Vallarna but I have also painted some things for Tomas Petterssons show. I also helped with a "small" project where we did 15 black boxes that's going to be involved in Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in some way.
